Colourful Surfite Wave Pendant – Large Triangle

This pendant is made using a surfite cabochon. Surfite is made from layers off waste resin from surfboard glazing so it is a very colourful eco-friendly product. Soft teal, blue and purple are most prominent in this one. At the bottom there is some swirled blue and white, which looks just like sea foam.
I’ve wrapped it in silver-plated copper wire, which has a tarnish-resistant coating to keep the silver colour brighter for longer. I’ve created the shape of a wave across the front of the cabochon, and a wide bail held together by a “figure of eight” weave, with a decorative spiral in front of the bail.
This is quite a statement piece at around 36 mm wide and 56 mm tall (including the bail) so I’ve put it on a slightly longer silver plated chain which is fully adjustable between approximately 17 and 21 inches. This makes it great for gifting, and also for wearing with different necklines. I think the combination of the colourful surfite and elegant silver swirls made it really versatile and it will go equally well with jeans and a t-shirt as it will with a more dressy outfit.
