Cornish greetings card pack 4

• You’ll find two images of St Ives – one of the boats in the harbour, under a beautiful blue sky.  The second, an atmospheric image of the harbour with heavy clouds, and a beautiful beam of sunshine hitting the sea.

• The image of Porthleven shows people standing on the end of the harbour watch the sunset – I took this the evening before my birthday, when I treated myself to an overnighter at the Harbourside Inn, after trading at the Shipyard Market all day.

• Another atmospheric image is the one I took while on one of my frequent beachcombing trips to Pentewan beach.  The image shows the silhouette of a fisherman casting is line from the shore, with a view across the headlands of St Austell Bay.

• The black & white photograph is of the engine house at Wheal Coates, on the north coast near St Agnes; a remnant of the tin mining industry.  You can find more information about this in my blog.

• A very colourful image is the greetings card of Fowey Estuary, which the vibrant yellow plants in the foreground, the view across the estuary to Polruan, and the gorgeous cloudscapes.

• Another beautiful sunrise was captured at The Towans, Hayle …. the sky beautifully reflected on the wet sand.

• The final card shows a sunflower field in St Austell, which was planted to raise funds for Cornwall Hospice.  I took the photograph as the sun was setting, with a beautiful tree in the mid-ground.  You can find more information about this, and more photos, in my blog.
