Dried flower art: a beautiful Flowerscape of dried, pressed flowers celebrating the long, warm days of late summer when the grasses are starting to dry, but there is still a rich palette of colour.
Meadows are not a common sight as they once were; a rich habitat for bees, butterflies and insects, but you have it all in this lovely frame. This beautiful Flowerscape will bring you a splash of colour and joy, year round.
The flowers are from our garden, and have been pressed and thoroughly dried before being used. I use a variety of flowers from the Daisy family, Anthemis, Gaillardia, Coreopsis, Astrantia, Pansies, various grasses, Forget-Me-Nots, Buttercups, Cosmos, Lavender, Cyclamen, Poppy seed heads – each frame has a different mix of flowers depending on the season, and depending on which flowers I have dry at the time of making.
If you have a preference for colour, i.e., more blue mussel shells, yellows, oranges, or even more grasses, please put a note on the order page, and I will do my best to create your perfect frame.
The mussel shells create beautiful silvery-blue flowers, and Tellin shells represent Butterflies.
This dried flower art is behind glass so the flowers and grasses will not become affected by dust or household pollutants.
Mounted on white paper.
* To ensure you continue to enjoy your Flowerscape fully, please keep the frame out of direct sunlight to reduce the colour fade of the flowerheads.
** Your art will differ from that shown, depending on the flowers, grasses and shells used; each picture is entirely unique. Can be made according to your preferences.
